WENDELL WEDNESDAY.

One of the best things about living in Nashville this winter has been the amazing little pet store a few blocks from our house.  Wags & Whiskers is a local holistic pet food and supply shop. We buy our dog food there, but it is also just a fun place to take Wendell while we are out on a walk.We have been wanting to give Wendell a bath for a long time now, but the thought of chasing him around the backyard with a garden hose just wasn't super appealing. When we found out that Wags & Whiskers had a self-service dog washing station - we were pretty excited.  They even had a giant, Wendell-sized tub! The shop provided the shampoo, aprons, scrub brushes, towels - everything we needed.Wendell did so well! He was a little nervous walking up the ramp to the tub, but he stood still for the entire bath....I think he even enjoyed it!  He was so fluffy and clean on the walk home - just in time for his ELEVEN MONTH birthday today! Can you believe it? What happened to this little guy?- Hannah.

WENDELL WEDNESDAY!

Wendell is temporarily having to adjust to life in the big city, but here is a picture from a few weeks ago at his more permanent home in Bugtussle. This was in the midst of a giant leaf pile fight with his new best friend and neighbor Rascal the chihuahua - who can barely be seen in the photo, squashed under Wendell's enormous right foot. I think he's going to be happy here.

WE'RE HERE!

We are back in Bugtussle! We're still very much in the midst of the crazy stressful unpacking process, but we wanted to let you know that we did it.  A few times in the last few days we have had moments of realization - that's it. No more moving. We did it!......aaaand then the moment passes because Wendell is chasing ducks through the woods and the squawking boxes in the back of the truck need to be unloaded. As we settle in, besides being incredibly busy as we get to work clearing land and starting on the cabin, we will be without internet and electricity for a bit - so these posts might not be as regular as they usually are. Here is a picture of Wendell eating a stale baguette to help you get through our absence. If you *DO* need to get a hold of us, you can call or write to us at Bugtussle's address. No cell phone service, but we will check when we can!  Also, have you seen the cabin campaign lately? We are so close! Also also, the move has delayed us sending out all of the perks for those of you who donated - but don't worry! We are working on them!Thank you to everyone who has contributed, in whatever way, to this crazy year of ours. After lots of confusion and sadness and loss and leaving, it truly feels as though everything has fallen into place. We are home.- Hannah.
