THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT.
Jesse put our new chainsaw to good use this week. We found a wonky little cedar tree to be our very first Christmas tree! We have collected only a handful of ornaments from our first two years of marriage, and I haven't yet found any good solar or battery-powered Christmas lights, but our little cabin is definitely feeling much more festive.- Hannah.

STORY MAGAZINE.
Because we don't have TV, cell phones, or internet around these parts, Jesse and I love getting magazine subscriptions. They are one of our few expenses, and a main source of information and entertainment. One of our favorites is the local STORY magazine, a relatively new, wonderfully done magazine all about Kentucky. So, needless to say, we were thrilled to be a part of the latest issue! Plus, we got to work with our dear friends in the process - Tim was our photographer, Jamie wrote the article, and many of our farming friends are also included in the feature. So many great things are happening in Kentucky! Go out and grab a copy at any local bookstore, any Kentucky Walmart (really!), or better yet - SUBSCRIBE. Totally worth it.- Hannah.
