SHEEP SHEARING.
On Thursday, we helped Cher shear her Shetlands (tongue twister!) Jesse and I still have a dream of our own wool sheep, so it was fun to get some experience. The kids gathered around while they took breaks from hunting for fiddlehead ferns and morels. It was a long day filled with sore backs, but a day spent with the Bugtussle family is a day well spent.- Hannah.
THE GOATS.
We brought three new ladies into our lives a few days ago, and we couldn't be more in love. They are Wanda, Mow, and Olive and they are feisty and curious and very good at eating all of our cedar trees.
And then yesterday, we brought them a boyfriend on loan from Little Seed Farm - Santos. He is so far completely terrified of the girls and really into Jesse....
Currently.
Sitting in a lovely place, sipping fancy coffee and waiting until this afternoon when I am heading to Joelton to pick up three milk goats. I had plans of putting up lots of posts and getting a lot of blog work done, but of course the computer is not cooperating. So this is a short little post to say: expect an overload of goat photos very soon. Also, do you follow us on Instagram? Sometimes when we can't make it to town for a blog update we can put up pictures there.- Hannah.
