KENTUCKY GREEN LIVING FAIR.

Last weekend we went up to Somerset for the 2014 Kentucky Green Living Fair. It was really wonderful - we met so many amazing folks doing amazing things in our state. We hung out with all our favorite Bowling Green ladies, Jesse taught a workshop on fermentation, I ate Woodford Reserve bourbon bread pudding ice cream, and (more importantly) we took hot showers at our hotel. Success! We really love this event, and especially the superhero woman who basically runs the show all on her own - Jamie, you're the best. Thanks to everyone who came by and said hello - we love meeting you guys and hearing your stories.- Hannah.ky green living fair. ky green living fair. ky green living fair. ky green living fair. ky green living fair.PS: We will be back in Somerset on April 19 for WILDfest - a foraging and fermenting festival with Sandor Katz (!) at Cedar Creek. Tickets are still available!

So mark your calendars and stay tuned to the Fair's website! If you think this is an event you would like to attend as a vendor, I believe there are still spots available! GREEN LIVING FAIR PICTURES.

ky green living fair.Last Saturday at the Kentucky Green Living Fair, we were sadly too busy with our own booth and workshops to spend much time wandering around the fair, seeing all of the amazing vendors and animals and food. That also means that we neglected to take pictures! Luckily, two lovely ladies we met that day were snapping away, and posted their photos from the fair HERE and HERE. (Bonus: their websites are really wonderful. When I met them at the fair I felt I already knew them since I have been stalking their blogs and instagrams....but it was nice to meet them in real life and feel less like a creeper.) Our sweet friend Robin also shared her story and images from the day over at Radical Farmwives. If you were at the fair and took pictures, post a link in the comments. We would love to see them!We had such a great time - and we again want to say thank you to everyone we met.  It was good for us to meet so many people who have followed our story and are hoping to get back to the land themselves. It was good for us to talk about fermentation and compost and pastured rabbits with people who don't think we're crazy. And it was good for us to be reminded of the greatness of this state of Kentucky. We are proud to be from Kentucky, and happy to have come home once again at this time in its history, where a little green living event in Somerset can bring over 1,000 people together to learn and grow and move forward, towards a better way.- Hannah.

A WHIRLWIND WEEKEND.

We had such a wonderful time at the Green Living Fair on Saturday! It was a crazy day - we had to wake up at 3:45 AM to make the drive to Somerset....but it was definitely worth it.  It was so much fun to see many of our old friends, to make new friends, to meet lots of you guys.  We loved being able to finally place names and faces and voices and hugs with all of the people we have connected with online - nothing beats real, human interaction! Our only regret: not getting to spend enough time simply walking around, enjoying all of the other amazing vendors and workshops! We're already counting down the days til next year.- Hannah.ky green living fair. ky green living fair. a honeybee that followed us to the fair.
